It has been 25 years and today DIT University is at the paragon of academic eminence and intellectual discovery. The legacy of DIT University finds its roots back to the year 1998. Dehradun Institute of Technology(DIT) was established by Shri Naveen Agarwal. More than a decade later, DIT was conferred the status of an autonomous institution, recognized by the UGC in 2011. On February 15, 2013, DIT attained the status of a University under DIT University Act (Uttarakhand Act No. 10 of 2012). The University introduced its Doctoral programs from the year 2013, along with numerous additions to its Undergraduate & Postgraduate programs, in the later years.
In order to provide the best placements, the University established the Career Development Centre (CDC), along with six Centers of Excellence (COEs) with state-of-the-art laboratories and infrastructure to facilitate ardent research and a learning ambience like nowhere else. The Centre of Innovation, Incubation, Entrepreneurship & Start-up (CIIES) was later set up. In the span of 25 years, DIT has established itself as a venerable, hallmark institution of higher education, with the prestige to always deliver upon each promise. Today, the University is a heritage establishment which offers more than 45 degree-level programs, has unparalleled, consistent placements, and a faculty of over 300 distinguished academicians, who stand as the epitome in their respective fields.
